Grunge, Grunge, and More Grunge

Writer's picture: Kim GravesKim Graves

I really wasn't sure how these colors were going to work together, but I love the results.

These page were created from Gelli Plate prints, Distress Oxide Sprays, and stencilling. There are too many pages to put in one journal and I don't have quite enough for two. Tomorrow I will make about ten more pages in order to do two journals. I don't usually make two of the same but since the monoprinting results in such unique backgrounds I think they will be different enough. I can also add some different filler papers to make them both one of a kind. I still need to grunge up the pages some more before I start to put the signatures in a cover. I will also make the covers differently to help make each one special.

Yesterday I created a lot of stamped ephemera pieces to add to clusters that I want to make to help decorate the pages for these journals. Not sure what the finished results are going to be but I am excited to find out.

Still waiting for confirmation on a couple of craft fairs. If it goes according to my plan I will have one in April, May, and July, two in September, October, and November.

I did some minor yard clean up yesterday and today. We are supposed to have high winds again tomorrow, so I expect there will be more clean up to be done. I'm not sure what is my favorite season in Ohio is, but I know winter is my least favorite. Do you have a favorite?
